70 Degrees in Colorful Colorado - Thank you!

Lovely Judy picked up my Breville juicer today that I had listed on craigslist. Juicing is just too time consuming for me, and since we are disease-free, we really just need to add more fruits and veggies to our diet. Tis why we are blending Green Smoothies now! Here is a photo of my favorite mosaic so far; Kokopeli. I listed some stained glass supplies on craigslist today; I really don't think I'll ever do stained glass again! Off to run some errands...

Frame finished

So I decided to paint the grout instead of using glitter. Since this is for someone else, I didn't want to take a chance w/ the glitter. I like it way better than the dark gray grout :-)

Glitter or no???

Photo of mosaic I added some glitter to. The frame needs something. Should I put glitter on it, or beads, paint the grout, or what?!?!

Too Much Chocolate!

Guilty!!! I ate more chocolate last night than usual. The usual is one 1" piece of dark choc. I think I ate about 10 last night! It was so good, I couldn't stop. So I have a headache this morning; no suprise. Gotta be good today. Started off with apple cider vinergar drink and now I'm having a green smoothie - kale, parsley, cilantro, apple, carrot, lemon, ginger - yum! Gotta clean the house today; yuck!

Experimented with gold glitter on mosaic grout. Doesn't look too good but I think it's because it's dark colors. I think I'll just sprinkle some on the piece I want to use it on with out glue; so if it sucks, it'll come right off.

The 1st Day of the Beginning

of the rest of my life. Gonna try to make it a good one! GOTTA start exercising or at least walking daily! Started off with some sit-ups then a smoothie:

1 apple
8 oz crushed pineapple
2 handfuls salad (cuke, cabbage, carrot, sweet peppers, sunflower seeds, arugula, parsley)
1 cup H2O
Smoothie setting 1 min, puree 1 min. Turned out perfect! Later!

I'm SO stuffed!

So I just had a "Green Smoothie" and I am bustin a gut! It consisted of one apple, 8oz of crushed pineapple, shredded cabbage, carrots, cucumber, cilantro, parsley, arugula, sweet peppers, and sunflower seeds. Hmmm, I may have left something out?

I've been on a health quest since 1975. Back then I cut out all processed foods and anything fried, and that had artificial ingredients. I've been extremely healthy up until 2 summers ago. My seasonal allergies were horrible. I took Claritin for a while, but that stopped working and nothing else I took helped. I discovered the blood type diet and started that. Had to cut out all wheat and dairy. The following summer, I never had to take one allergy pill! It was the wheat and dairy that was posing all the problems. I'm still staying away from wheat and dairy but I'll sneak a little in once in a while. You can get wheat free products but they're way too expensive.

Then about a month ago I saw "Crazy Sexy Cancer" on TLC in which Kris discovered alternate ways to fight her cancer. Keeping your body more alkaline than acid seems to be the secret to keep all disease away! The way to do this is to eat lots of vegetables mostly. And eating them raw is optimal. Well, I just don't want to spend all day in the kitchen preparing tasty veggie meals, so I discovered "Green Smoothies."

I've read the smoothies should be 60% fruit and 40% veggies, but I just throw what looks right into the blender. The concoction I made tonight made two beer glassfuls; I should have given one to the hubby. Yeah, he was at the gym, so I drank them both.

The week before I bought a new juicer and juiced the veggies and fruit, but that wastes so much! Figures I didn't find out about the smoothies until afterwards. That's okay, I'm sure someone will buy the juicer.
